"This drawing proposes a theme that, as Depero himself wrote in 1951, had great success and therefore saw the drafting of various versions over time. (...) Apart from the paintings, Depero made a certain number of project drawings (already in 1931) that is, studies of posture and speed lines, and among these the present drawing is probably one of the closest to the final solution desired by Depero also for the warm tonality that would later be poured into the painting".
